Minimum Purchase Amount/Payment

All web orders must please be a minimum of $25.00 (not including shipping/tax). eChecks (electronic checks/ACH), paper checks, money orders and cash are all accepted forms of payment. Due to fraudulent activity, The Cactus King no longer accepts credit, debit or check card payments.

Before placing a stop payment on a check or money order, please call (281) 591-8833 to inform a team member. If we do not receive prior notice and your check is deposited, a $65.00 stop payment fee will be accessed and placed onto your account.

Return, Refund and Exchange Policy

Cacti and succulents shown on our website are representative of each species offered. Photos are not always representative of the specific size being ordered. Specimens may be a cutting, division or non-rooting plant. Plants are always carefully packaged. All plants are sold as-is. No warranty or guarantee is implied. All sales are final. We do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges due to the fact that are merchandise is alive. We are unable to determine what care or lack there of the plant(s) received after being purchased.

Bare Root Shipping - A Legal Requirement

The vast majority of our plants are shipped bare root. Smaller plants (i.e., 4"/1 gallon pots), are typically potted when shipped. The Cactus King’s proprietary soil blend is extremely light. This stops excess moisture from lingering too long and harming the plant. It is normal for some dirt to fall out in transit. Loss of said soil will not harm the plant. Depending upon the species, our shipping team will utilize varying protective wrapping. This includes newspaper and/or Styrofoam beads within a cardboard box.

Plant Substitution (and how to avoid it)

The Cactus King reserves the right to substitute your plant(s) as availability dictates. Timely payment is critical to avoid substitution. If the particular desired plant(s) sell out, substitution occurs. The moment payment via eCheck, paper check, cash or money order is received/cleared, a client’s plant(s) are reserved. Substitution may only be prevented by contacting The Cactus King.

Shipping and Handling

The Cactus King ships every species/size available. We ship to every state aside from Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii 365 days a year! All orders small enough to be boxed will ship via FedEx Ground. This includes all orders that are placed directly on our website. For larger plants that require specialized transport, The Cactus King will assist in locating the cheapest and most reliable logistics company for you. Buyer assumes all responsibility for their order(s) once the package(s) has left our property. The buyer agrees to cover any other costs outside of what The Cactus King and said buyer agreed to.

Shipping Timelines

Before plants are reserved and can be shipped, payment must arrive and clear before cutoff. The weekly cutoff is Tuesday/6am. Payments that arrived/cleared BEFORE Tuesday at 6am will leave our nursery that same week on Thursday or Friday via FedEx Ground. Payments that arrived/cleared AFTER Tuesday at 6am will leave our nursery the following Thursday or Friday via FedEx Ground. FedEx Ground carries an average delivery window of 3 - 5 business days. When your order leaves our nursery, tracking information will automatically be sent to you via email from FedEx.
