Alluaudia humbertii

Description:

A interesting species from Madagascar. In youth it grows shrub-like, but at maturity forms richly branched trees up to 6 m tall with thin, twig-like branches. This succulent also develops a 'weeping' characteristic in old age being that the branches arc out of the top of the trunk then downward toward the ground.
